This month, we’re pleased to welcome Jordan Wilson, Fire Captain – Pre-Fire with Cal Fire’s Shasta-Trinity Unit, for an informative presentation on Zone 0 and its role in home fire safety.
Drawing on his experience in wildfire prevention, Captain Wilson will discuss the importance of maintaining Zone 0—the immediate area surrounding your home—and how this critical space can help reduce the risk of ignition during a wildfire.

This month, we were pleased to welcome Eric Knapp, PhD, Research Ecologist with the Forest Service, for an informative presentation: “Protecting Your Home From Wildfire.”
Drawing on lessons learned from the Paradise fire, Dr. Knapp shared what research has revealed about why homes burn during wildfires and the practical steps property owners can take to better protect their homes.
