3
Schedule the Scope of Work Review
The information gathered during the assessment will be used to develop a detailed scope of work. It will include specific actions, such as home hardening measures or defensible space recommendations, tailored to your property’s unique characteristics.

4
Schedule a Bid Walk
Approved contractors will visit your property to conduct a detailed tour and assess the work that needs to be completed. During this visit, they will evaluate the necessary retrofits and improvements based on the scope of work and the property’s specific needs. This allows them to fully understand the required tasks before beginning the work.

5
Sign the Tri-Party Agreement
Once a contractor has been selected for your project, you will receive a Tri-Party Agreement. This agreement will outline the roles and responsibilities of all parties involved—the contractor, the property owner, and the program administrators—and ensure that everyone is aligned on the terms of the work to be done. You will need to review, sign, and return this agreement before any work can begin.

6
Schedule Implementation
Once the Tri-Party Agreement is signed, you will need to schedule a date for the selected contractor to begin the work. Please note that the defensible space work and home hardening measures will be carried out on separate dates. This is to allow for the proper sequencing of tasks and ensure that each phase of the project is completed thoroughly and efficiently.
